A Family photograph to start with +  take it two generations back =  treasured gift

Are you looking for a thoughtful present for a special person or occasion?

Perhaps it’s Granny’s 80th birthday or Mum and Dad’s 40th wedding anniversary?

A three or four generation Descendant Tree to include all the children and grandchildren - and with photos too – would be a unique and meaningful gift. And all the information needed ie. dates of birth etc. should already be known within the family - so no need for research online or in the archives.

Special Occasions - Retirements and Homecomings...

Mayor of Chicago Richard M.Daley receiving a present of his Family Tree

from Cllr Mary Roche, Mayor of Waterford.    Chicago 2010

Richard M. Daley was Mayor of Chicago for a record breaking 22 years.

His father Richard J. Daley was Mayor for 21 years.  All of the Daley

ancestry is 100% Irish.  The paternal line (Daley) originated in

West Co. Waterford while the maternal line (Dunne) hailed from Waterford City

The special occasion of a homecoming - I had the pleasure of attending a civic reception in Galway 21/09/14 hosted by the Mayor of Galway Donal Lyons to welcome home Mayor of Boston Marty Walsh "a son of Galway". We had an interesting chat about the family tree which I created for him. His story is genuinely inspirational - his father John Walsh left Connemara in the 50's, he laboured in London before emigrating to Boston. His Mother Mary O Malley also left Connemara in the 50's. They met in a dancehall in Boston many miles and an ocean away from Carna and Ros Muc. Within one generation their son has become the Mayor of Boston. Mayor Marty acknowledged this yesterday and said "how proud his parents would be of this day" .  I wish the Mayor and his family much celebrating for his homecoming in the village of Carna today.
